Urban Circus was commissioned by the Cross River Rail project team of the Department of Transport and Main Roads to provide a series of 3d videos for this $8bn, 18km metro railway project.
Challenge: to demonstrate the reference design of the proposed underground railway line during design development and in a very short turnaround. In the first commission, only a couple of weeks were available to produce accurate animated outputs for multiple underground and integrated urban railway stations.
The 3d video sequence includes both street level integration and sub-surface platform and user aspects. it is accurate to the provided engineering and architectural information.
Experience working on metro projects and with 3d digital technology allowed UC to provide:
Further commissions and longer timelines allowed more refined outputs and pedestrian animations within the complex milieu.
Urban Circus produced a high quality, precise visualisation of Cross River Rail as part of the detailed feasibility phase. The visualisation brought Cross River Rail, and in particular the four new underground stations and two new surface stations, to life. It’s been a fantastic tool to demonstrate to the community and key stakeholders the look and feel of the project and how it could operate.
From day one Urban Circus were responsive, professional and all outputs were delivered on time and to our exact requirements. Urban Circus understands the infrastructure industry and use cutting edge technology to achieve outstanding results.
